Volunteering gives you the opportunity to change people’s lives, including your own. Helping others is an important part of American life—we are a generous and compassionate people and our generosity usually begins with neighbors in our own community. The hospice volunteer is a special part of volunteerism. They possess a recognition and acceptance of the reality of death as they provide support to the hospice patient and family. They are a valuable part of a team of professionals (nurses, social workers, home health aides, chaplains, etc.) who provide support and care for persons in the last stages of an incurable disease so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible. If you want to be a part of this team, please call the Faith and Grace office at (334)834-9800 and ask for the Volunteer Coordinator.
